In 2012, when I packed up our family to relocate to St. Kitts for a career milestone, I was fueled by an intense Fire energy, excited, forward-looking, and ready to embrace the shift. I confidently reassured my teenage daughter, Safyre, “You will make new friends!”
Her response stopped me in my tracks: “I don’t want new friends.”

To my fast-moving Fire nature, connecting was easy. But Safyre operated from an Earth perspective; she valued stability, deep roots, and trusted, loyal foundations. I was attempting to solve an Earth challenge with a Fire mindset, leaving us both feeling entirely misunderstood.

Years later, after we both became Certified TetraMap® Facilitators, this exact memory became our ultimate breakthrough. We realised neither of us was wrong; we were simply processing a major life transition through different natural lenses.
